Boy Scouts offer recycling Feb. 2

On Saturday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon, Boy Scout Troop 4 will hold its bimonthly recycling collection in the Upper Millyard parking lot. Includes newspapers, magazines, books, cardboard, returnable bottles and cans, and used cell phones. All monies collected from items recycled are used for leadership training for the Scouts. Christmas tree notice to residents

For anyone who did not have their Christmas tree removed during the second and third week of January, the compost site is open now to Sunday, Feb. 3, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christmas trees should be placed in the brush pile, free from all adornments. Residents who do not wish to remove their tree during this time will need to purchase a compost sticker and in the spring to access the site for tree removal.
