Library director candidates to be interviewed in closed session
By Katie FarrellStaff writer
AMESBURY - A library trustees subcommittee will interview four candidates for the library director position tonight in a closed-door meeting.
The four finalists come from a pool of 10 applicants and were selected by a rÉsumÉ committee. The search for a new director began in September.
The interview committee includes several of the trustees, acting director Patty DiTullio and chief of staff Kendra Amaral. They will meet at 6 p.m. at the library and hold an hourlong interview with each candidate.
The Daily News issued a verbal request for copies of the four applicants' resumes under the state Open Meeting Law. The mayor's office denied the request, citing an opinion from the town's legal counsel, Kopelman and Paige.
