WEST NEWBURY - Two incumbents - Selectman Glenn Kemper and Board of Health member Blake Seale - have returned nomination papers to run again for their three-year seats, Town Clerk Larry Murphy said.
A total of 10 seats are up for grabs on the May 5 annual town ballot. Currently circulating papers are incumbents R. Scott Wolke, water commissioner, three-year term; and M. Dorothy Cavanaugh and Judith Marshall, for two of the three available seats on the Board of Library Trustees.
Other incumbents whose three-year seats are up include William Krajeski, assessor; Heather Conner, School Committee; R. Bruce Hamilton, Board of Library Trustees; and John Duggan, Park and Recreation commissioner. A five-year term on the Planning Board held by Ann Bardeen is also open.
The deadline for pulling papers is March 13 at 5 p.m., with papers due back at the town clerk's office by March 17 at 5 p.m. Residents interested in voting in the Annual Town Meeting on April 28 or the annual town election on May 5 must register at the Town Clerk's office by April 8 at 8 p.m.
